What have you noticed?
- Holes or damage in stored textiles
- Larvae or shed material near fabric
- Repeated insects around a wardrobe
These observations help begin an assessment; they do not confirm a diagnosis.
The life stage and material matter
Carpet beetle larvae, rather than adults, damage susceptible fabrics. An adult seen by a window does not locate the source. Describe the material involved, where it is stored and any larvae or shed skins you have seen. Keep food-storage moth concerns separate.
Protect the observation before reorganizing
List affected rugs, clothing, upholstery or stored items. Ask what should be inspected and how delicate materials should be handled. Specialist cleaning or restoration is not automatically part of pest work. Confirm the storage areas included and what a follow-up check would assess.
Before you arrange the visit
Give the full address, the affected rooms or structures and the person who can provide access. Confirm the work included, preparation, pricing and any later checks. Let us know if specialist access or a particular document is required.
Does every damaged garment mean an active infestation?
No. Explain when the damage was noticed and whether live insects or fresh evidence are present. Identification and assessment are needed.
